A little break from Color My World

In case you were wondering, I am still designing kits for sale. This one has actually been finished for about 2 months, it just took a long time to get it loaded to the store. This one was made with boys in mind, but it does not have to be for only boys. It is for all your little space explorers and space cadets. I felt inspired to make this one since I did not have much luck finding a digital scrapbooking space or outerspace kit. I had a lot of fun making all the fun little creatures for this kit, but I will admit my favorite part is the little astronaut with the clear helmet that you can put your little ones picture behind (just check out the preview). I hope you all enjoy this kit and RUSH to the store to grab it for yourselves. Just click {HERE} to see the full kit in the store and purchase. Like always, there is way more to the kit than can just be seen in a little preview. And of course, I have a mini kit freebie to go with the kit. I know that is what you all come here for anyways :) Enjoy

Just in time for October

So, October is still almost a week away, but if you are like me you have already been getting excited for it. I really like this time of year. It starts with Hubby's B-day, then mine, then Halloween, then an anniversary and then Thanksgiving, then Christmas is here before you know it. I really enjoy Halloween and still take every opportunity to dress up that I can. I also love the colors of Fall and orange is definitely at the top of the list. So I am excited that the Color My World color Orange seems to have fallen at such a perfect time. I hope you enjoy the first part of it.LINK EXPIRED
Would you be opposed to me doing a very Autumn feeling alpha for this color?

Red Alpha

I told you I had to come up with something fabulous for this alpha since it is my favorite color. I actually did make an alpha, but it just wasn't fabulous enough. So I started going through my commercial use items for some inspiration and found this great gray tape alpha from Gunhild Storeide. I tried recoloring it to red and loved it. So, I cannot take any credit for this alpha. All I did is make it red. Thanks Gunhild.LINK EXPIRED

Red, Part 2

LINK EXPIRED
Here is the second part of Color My World red. Thank you for all your nice suggestions about how to deal with the garbage can in an enclosed space. I actually have been looking at some pop top cans that are somewhat nice looking that I could put at the end of the counter instead of in the closet. Anyways, I am sure that is sooooo interesting to you all :) I hope you enjoy the second part of this kit.

NEW COLOR!!!! MY FAVORITE!!!

This took too long to get up. I was unable to log in to 4-shared for awhile there.
Thank you for all of your comments on my last post. Are you all just dying to know what the photos were of? I took photos of our mattresses and used them. I actually did it with two mattresses. One used the stitching pattern from it and the other was just the texture of the fabric on the mattress. I just thought they were really pretty. The ornate circle used in all the papers along the top of the preview is actually the lid to a jar of air freshener beads. (the trash in the kitchen of our new house is inside a little closet and since it in enclosed, it really stinks when you open the door, the little air freshener beads help some, but if you all have any suggestions I would appreciate them). I thought it was really pretty. I just photographed it against a green background so that it was pretty easy to extract in photoshop and make into a brush. Now for the bottom, flower prints. those are from these fantastic chairs I picked up at a garage sale for $3 for the pair. It is a vinyl material and it had not been so worn, I would have left them that way and just refinished the metal frame, but since they were so warn, I refinished the whole thing. What do you think? (the pics are from the camera phone, not so good, and ignore the messy craft room in the bottom one ☺)
Since doing this little kit for you, I keep seeing fun textures and patterns all around me that would make some really fun papers, so don't be surprised if you see more from me in the future.
The winner is SCHELLIE!!!!! What did she win? This cute little apron. (sorry for the pic, I used my phone) I hope it matches her red kitchen. Just email me your address Schellie and I will get it out to you.Speaking of red, we are now on that color for COLOR MY WORLD. I love red. And I love any color you can make with red (pink, burgundy, etc). But a nice, bright, out of the Crayola box red is my favorite. If I had chosen the order for the handing our of the CMW kits, red would have taken the lead. I hope you all enjoy it. I need to come up with something fabulous for the alpha on this one.LINK EXPIRED

My surprise for you!!!

I am taking way too long between posts. I do apologize. My life is quite busy at the moment as I am trying to develop some ideas that I have had for awhile and finally decided it is time to get them up and running. I promise, you all will benefit from it once I get it going. I say that to make myself feel better for neglecting you with the sparse posts. Today I have a huge paper pack for you. There are 22 papers!!! I made them with photos I took of items as we were moving and then used those photos to make brushes or overlays. I called it Moving on Up in honor of the move. I hope you like it. Please leave a comment with what you think the original photos were of before I turned them into to papers. I will select one comment to WIN A PRIZE!!!!LINK EXPIRED
Do you know what I like best about my new house? No, it is not the second bathroom, though that is nice. I love watching my little one sleep. Our old house was just that, OLD. Here room was on the second floor and you had to walk up some very creaky wooden stairs to get to her room, so there was no sneaking in on her in the mornings to check on her. Now I can sneak into her room, even when she is awake and watch her talk and play in the morning before she even knows I am there. I have really enjoyed that.
