{I am Fundraising} and giving things away!!!

I have not done any fundraising since I was in school (you remember, selling magazines and wrapping paper and those kind of things). I am doing it again. I am participating in the Tri for Your Cause at Mile High. This triathlon allows you to choose an organization to raise funds and race for. I have chosen Now I Lay me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS). This is an incredible organization that provides a priceless service to families going through one of the most difficult times in their life. They provide professional photography services to families that will not be bringing their precious newborn home from the hospital. These volunteer photographers provide treasured memories for these families during their time of suffering. All services are provided free of charge to the family. Please, go to NILMDTS site {HERE} and read more about what they do. I will warn you that browsing their website can be very emotional. I hope it causes you to take a moment to be grateful for the blessing you do enjoy each day. I know it has caused me to hold my little one even tighter and be grateful just to be able to do that, even on the tougher days.
Once you have visited their site, you can visit my running blog, Riverdale Runner {HERE} to learn more about my triathlon and to find the donation link. ALL donations will go to NILMDTS.
NOW for the fun part. I am doing a giveaway to those that donate. FOUR of them actually. For every $dollar$ your donate, you will receive one entry in the drawing of your choice (you can split it among the 4 drawings if you wish). What are the drawings for you ask?! The first two will be for the FULL kit of your choice from my shop. The third will be for a tutu for your little one(your color choice) and the fourth will be for a set of hairbows (you color choice, of course). So how do you enter? Go to Riverdale Runners and learn more about the triathlon and NILMDTS. Then, click on the link to the donation page. Feel free to visit the triathlon home page as well. Make a donation. Once you have made a donation EMAIL ME. Tell me how you want your entries split up. For example: Julie donates $5 and emails me that she wants 3 entries for the kits and 2 for the tutu. You have until the 17th of July to donate and enter the giveaways. I will do the drawing for the giveaways on July 20th. Thank you in advance.

Yellow Green

It is time for a little fun with the Color My World. This is probably one of my favorites colors in the series. Yellow Green (lime) is so bright and fun and I think it will be a great addition for those summer layouts.LINK EXPIRED
Isn't it pretty?! I hope you enjoy and have a great weekend.

Anyone Else Being Asked for a Password?

Shelli commented that when she tries to unzip my Daddy and Me Part 2 kit that it asks for a password. I did not set a password and I have downloaded it several times myself (making sure I am logged out of my 4-shared account first) and have not had it ask for a password when I download or unzip it. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? If so, I will reload it to 4-shared to make sure you all get it.

UPDATE: OK, two people having issues with the download are more than enough. I have reloaded the kit to 4-shared and changed the link on the kit. So if you are having problems opening the file, just delete it and re-download the kit. Just click on the preview to be taken the newly loaded download. I hope this takes care of the problem.

Just A Reminder

Don't forget that today is the last day to get the Color My World Pastel kits on sale. After today they go back to being $3 a piece and $14 for the Mega Kit.
I also wanted to pass along a funny story about the winner of the onsie. So, if you read the post yesterday, you saw that Cristy won it. I got an email from my cousin today, whose name is Cristy. Yup, it was my cousin that won and I didn't even know it was the same Cristy or that she followed my blog. I have a friend Christy that leaves comments, but notice the different spelling, so I knew it wasn't here. And since this Cristy's comment name is not linked to a blog or she has never left a personal comment that would clue me into who she is, I had not idea until I got her email today with her address. What is even better is that she is expecting a little girl, so this is perfect. Next time I will do my best not to draw a family member :) But I hope to draw a friend's name since I think you all are my friends :)

Let Freedom Ring!!

I think I got everything in the 4th of July kit that you asked for:
fireworks.......done
sparkles.......done
Stars.......done....done.......and done
Stripes.......done
hot dogs.......done

I had a lot of fun making this. I really like the way the felt hamburger and hotdog turned out...mmmm. I also think the alpha turned out great (thanks to PSHero for his turtorial). I think it looks like Campaign Buttons. I called it Freedom. If you like red, white and blue, you'll love this kit. If you like stars, you will really love this kit. Check out the previews. Just click on the preview to be taken to the store to grab the entire kit.
So who won the contest for the adorable onsie? Comment number 9 was Cristy, so CONGRATULATIONS. Please email me your address and I will get the little onsie to you. Hopefully you can use it or know someone who can.
I really enjoyed reading your guesses for what the stars were. Anonymous actually guessed correctly. They are pasta stars that I photographed and then extracted and colored using photoshop. I love photoshop. I really liked Cheryl's guess of the stars from an infant's stacking tower. I actually have several of those laying around here :).
Now, after such a long post, here is your mini kit. I will also have a quick page for you later this week since it seems like you all like them :)LINK EXPIRED
Last, but not least, don't forget that all the Pastel Color My World kits are on sale until midnight Tuesday night. So hurry over and grab them at the discounted price.

Color My World Soft Colors are in the store

So I took your suggestions. You can get the individual colors of CMW Soft Colors in the store or you can get it all together in a Mega Kit at a great price. Our store has a minimum price of $3 for kits, so each individual kit is $3. If you were to buy all 6 of them at that price, you would spend $18. However, I combined all the kits into a mega download for only $14. Now, even though the minimum store price is $3, I can offer them at a sale price for a short time. So, that is what I am going to do. You can get each kit for $1.75 and the mega kit for $8 until Tuesday at Midnight (MST). So click on the preview and head over to the store before they go back to the regular price.

Time to Give Something Away

Do you want to win this adorable little onsie? You know you do. It is size 3-6 months and ohhh so cute. So how do you win it? Take a look at the next picture.
This is one of the frames from my upcoming 4th of July kit. I photographed and extracted the stars to use them for this kit. What are the stars???????? I want to hear your guesses. There are two ways to enter the drawing for the onsie:

1. Leave me a comment with your guess for what you think the stars are.
2. Pass the info about the contest on to others by posting a little about it on your blog and you can have another entry. Be sure to leave me a link :)

I will do the drawing for the onsie on Monday, June 15th when I hope to unveil the entire 4th of July kit for you all. And no worries, you do not have to have the right answer to win :)

Hint: you can find these 'little' stars in most Walmarts :)
Here is the second part of the CMW Blue kit for your downloading pleasure today. Enjoy. I need to get to work on the alpha for you all.

How do you want it?

I am getting ready to put Color My World the Soft Colors (Pastels) into the store. Before I do, I wanted to ask you how you would prefer it be packaged. Do you want all the kits (all 6 colors) in one kit for one price? Or....do you want the kit to be broken into the 6 colors, so that you can get just the color you missed or need? Let me know your opinions. I'll be back later with more of the Blue CMW Rich Colors.

Girls' Camp Quickpage

So I got commissioned by my mama to make a quickpage for her for girls camp. I of course gave her the special family rate :) I thought maybe some of you ladies would enjoy having the quickpage to use for Young Women's girl's camp. The download page is a PNG file. Just put your pictures behind the quickpage and resize the picture to fit in the window. No need to add any shadows, they are all already there.LINK EXPIRED
Most of the papers and elements are from my kit Japanese Garden. I included the striped paper and the camping elements in the freebie download today. I also included a blank wood sign so that you can cover up the one on the quickpage just in case your theme is not "Strengthen Your Sister" (: This was my first quickpage so I hope you all like it. I am currently working on a new tutorial for you all to teach you how to use all those wonderful templates that are available. Please leave me a comment if there are any other topics you would like me to cover in a tutorial. Also, thank you so much for all your kind comments to the CMW Blue mini kit. You all are awesome.
P.S. If any of you are interested, I was out of my mind last night and participated in a triathlon. You can totally read about it on my running blog at Riverdale Runners.

Finally, it is here!!

I have been spending all day putting together the previews. They take quite a bit of time to put together, but I am always appreciative when a designer gives me a nice preview, so I do it for you all. This preview is not even half of all the stuff you are going to be getting with the new installments of Color My World, The Rich Colors. Isn't it pretty?! I just love seeing all the colors together. And I am giving all this (and more) to your for FREE. I must be a pretty cool person :) JK. This is only the first mini kit. There are two mini kits and then an alpha, of course.
Erika asked in a comment if I would pretty-please do gold as part of CMW. At first I thought no, but since she said it is for Young Women's (this is the organization for 12-18 year girls in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) she hooked me. Since my mama is a Young Women's leader and I know she would appreciate having this color for their values. They have 8 values, each represented by a different color: faith (white), divine nature (blue), knowledge(green), individual worth (red), choice and accountability (orange), good works (yellow), integrity(purple) and now, virtue (gold). CMW already covered most of the colors, Erika just wanted gold. So, since she asked, I did some gold elements. I will admit making them was a little harder, just because I wanted to give them a realistic look. I will be giving those away in the future, so keep an eye our for them.
Now for your first mini-kit freebie in the Color My World: The Rich Colors collection. You get blue. Be sure to open it up and look at them. Because it is so monochromatic, the preview does not do justice for the individual parts. As always, enjoy.

Color My World is COMING...in this order :)

I know I am kind of neglecting you all, and I apologize. The little one ended up having pneumonia and an ear infection. What a rotten way to spend your first birthday. She is doing excellent now and is quickly getting back to her busy, adorable self. However, I have not forgotten about you all. In fact you have been much on my mind as I have been spending every free moment this last week designing the Color My World bold color kits for you. I am almost done and hope to be putting the previews together tomorrow evening, which means you will most likely be getting the first installment on Thursday (keep your fingers crossed). I must say it has been fun seeing the rainbow of colors as I put these together. I LOVE bold, bright colors. There were a few ties in the comments for which color to go first, but I used NanaScraps comment as the tie-breaker since she was the first to comment. So, the first color out of the starting gate will be......BLUE. The order will be as such:
Blue
Yellow Green
Turquoise
Violet
Red
Orange
Brown
Green
Blue Violet
Red Orange
Yellow
Red Violet
Orange Yellow
Black
Ecru
If any of you want a different order, you better speak up fast before I set this is stone :) Also, for any of your designers or aspiring designers out there, I will do ad-ons for this kit. There will be posts in the future with more details on this.
Just a note to Misty: I am sorry about your family illness, I hope all is well now. The CMW Pastel Kits will be put in the store as soon as the last freebie link expires, which will be this weekend. I will be sure to post about it so you do not have to keep checking the store for them, just keep checking my blog and grabbing my freebies :) . Hopefully I will be back on Thursday with a great freebie for you all, until then, keep scrapping.
