Did you notice?!

I had another facelift. Do you like it? I hope so. It is my way of introducing my newest kit in my shop. May Flowers are finally here. Most of the papers and elements used to design my new blog background and header are from my May Flowers kit. I know I say this about almost all of my kits, but I am pleased with how this one came out. I struggled for some time on getting things how I wanted them, but I think the outcome is great. You HAVE to go to the shop and check out the other previews. I have to say that the paper flowers are probably my favorite part of the kit (besides the flower garden papers, of course). Just click on the preview to be taken to my shop at DigiScrapShop. Now if you want to buy this kit (or any of my other kits for that matter) wait until Monday morning. Why? Because then you can get it on sale. DigiScrapShop is having a Memorial Day SALE from 12am to 12am PST on Monday, May 25th. You get 20% off of a purchase of $10 or more. So go grab a few of my kits and be sure to enter coupon code: USA at checkout.

Now for the reason you are here: the FREEBIE. You get the ENTIRE May Flowers mini kit in today's download, so no need to worry about coming back for the second part.

Second Part of Expecting Joy

I got the football book in yesterday. I had it printed as a 12x12 with a custom cover (his name and number from a photo of his jersey is the front cover and then a silhouette of him tackling in the back cover). Anyways, the book looked incredible. My DH came home from work and sat on the couch for quite some time looking at the book and taking a trip down memory lane since we had attended most of the games. He even said it was pretty cool (if you know my DH, you know this is a pretty big compliment). He had already called our friend(the football player's dad) to let him know it was here. He was here at the house within an hour and he did pretty much the same thing my DH did, but he was a little more emotional about it. He is a big boy (6'4", 250+) and was near tearing up. I will admit it meant a lot to me that he was so pleased with the outcome. He kept repeating that he knew it would be cool but he had no idea how cool it would be. Even with that said, I still am not a fan of scrapping for others (and from some of your comments, many of you feel the same way). You would have to pay me a pretty penny to do it for you.
Today you get the papers for the Expecting Joy kit. It looks like quite a few of you are happy that I re-issued this mini kit.
Also, thank you for your ideas for the 4th of July kit. I hope to get started on that one within the next week, so keep an eye out for it.

Just showing off!

One of the blog followers sent me this adorable baby shower invite that she did with my Expecting Joy kit. So cute isn't it?! I just love the way she stitched the pink paper to the striped paper. For those of you who are interested, the font is Girls are Weird. This is the full kit available at DiGiScRaPsHoPNow, since this invite is so cute, I am sure there are several of you who want to scraplift it. I decided to reissue the Expecting Joy mini kit. There is also a tutorial HERE that teaches you how to string the charms on a ribbon or chain. You can go to DiGiScRaPsHoP to grab the full kit. Today you get the elements. BE SURE to come back and get the PAPERS.

Ok, I am back

I am back. Thanks for the patience. I did over 40 layouts this weekend for the high school senior's scrapbook. His dad really wanted to have it for graduation this weekend and I think it will be here on Thursday. The printer is working on it today and said he will overnight it tomorrow. I cannot believe how many layouts I did. This was for a very good friend of my hubby's. It just confirmed to me what I already know, I do not want to do scrap-4-hire. I know this kid pretty well and had been to almost all of his football games that I was scrapping, but it still is not the same as scrapping your own family. These are just a few of the layouts that I did. I really hope they both like it (the dad and son).
Now, this is the VERY LAST part of the Color My World Pastel kits. It is the Soft Yellow Alpha, and yes it is the same alpha that I used for the title of my blog. It is from a fantastic font from Amanda at Free Scrapbook Fonts called You Wish You Were a Shirley. The cute little chicks were part of the font, so I had to include them of course. I hope you all love this last installment and are excited to get back to the bold, bright CMW colors.
Just a quick question for you all. I am wanting to do a 4th of July kit. What type of items would you like to see in the kit?????

He He He

Ooops! I made a mistake with the CMW Soft Violet Alpha didn't I? I actually linked it to the CMW Soft Yellow Kit in 4-shared. I didn't realize this until Sunday night. I was at a digital Scrapbooking Retreat this weekend sponsored by Digital Scrapbook Memories (so much FUN) and I had scheduled the last three posts. What that means is that I wrote them ahead of time and then told blogger when to publish them. So I was not really looking at the comments for them before the next one was posted because I was having such a good time at the retreat. To make up for it I am posting both the Violet Alpha and the Soft Yellow Part 1 for you today so that you can be sure to get both.
The retreat was great fun. It was for the very beginning digiscrapper up to the more advanced. I learned some great techniques. We also did some paper scrapping (scary!!!! it just reminded all of us why we love digi) and I did finish my mini album. We also did hybrid projects. I will have to finish those and get some pics posted for you all. It was a lot of fun, but I will admit I was so
happy to come home and see my little one for Mother's Day.
Here are your freebies for today. Be sure you get both.Links Expired

This preview does not do it justice, be sure to check out the additional previews in the store. The little clothesline is adorable!!! Just click on the preview to go see the other previews for the kit.I had a lot of fun designing this collaboration kit. It used a color palette that I would not usually would use (you know me and bold colors), so it was good to stretch my design muscles some. Since most of you are mamas and deserve to be treated special for Mother’s Day, I am giving you an additional part of the kit A Mother’s Work. Today you get the papers and on Mom’s Day I will hand out the elements. With this mini kit and the free collab kit from the store, you will have a ginormous kit for Mother’s Day. Just tell hubby you want $5 bucks to spend in my shop. :)

I'm Back (and I will be back later on today with more)

I give you a super long 100th post and then I leave you all to yourselves for a few days. Sorry. I went to spend a little time with my family. I am so happy with the response to my 100th post and that you all were happy to get the Brown Bag Christmas kit as your freebie. It is still one of my favorite kits that I have done so far, but it is so hard to pick a favorite one. They each are like my babies, so you can see why I love to hear you comments on them, we all love to hear how pretty our babies are :). Today you get the alpha for the CMW Soft Violet Mini Kit. I cannot believe we are only one color (soft yellow) away from being done with the CMW pastels for now. But, I am so excited to get back to the bright and bold colors that truly make up CMW. I think I will start with Red and blue when we return so that those of you here in the States with me can use them for your 4th of July layouts. Anyways, we still have a few more pastel freebies to get through before then, so enjoy your alpha today.

100th 100th 100th

THIS IS MY 100TH POST!!!!!
AND I HAVE A HUNDRED GIVEAWAYS!!!!!

In case you cannot tell, I am excited.
Before I get to all the fun stuff. I wanted to show you want I have been crafting lately outside of scrapbook items. This is my little one in her bandanna dresses that I made her (I have now made 5 of them). They are super easy. They take two bandannas and a spool of ribbon. You can make a dress for $3. The tutorial is at the blog Trey & Lucy. If you do your dress like her's, it really does only take 15 minutes. Mine take a little longer because I add ribbons around the bottom or buttons and make a matching hairbow, but they are still super quick and incredibly EASY. Even with the additional ribbon (which I get when Hobby Lobby has their spools for 50% off) I have not had a dress cost more than $5.75 to make.
Now for the winners. Drum roll please. Layout # 2 by Ora took the 1st place award. Just email me what kit you want from my shop and I will get that to you. Tyan and Sandy get honorable mention. You ladies can have one of my retired freebies, just email letting me know which one. If you already have them all, let me know and we will work something out.
Now for the something I had up my sleeve that I have been eluding to in the last several posts. If any of you have been following my for a little, you know that I HIGHLY value comments. I get so excited to see a new comment and to read them, and yes, I get sad when I get only 6 comments even though my freebie has been downloaded 400 times. Anyways, I want to reward you that do leave comments. SO, I decided for my 100th post that I would do a little drawing of the comments. I used random.org to select the winners for me. First I used it to select the post that I would select the winner from. For the person who comments in blogs, random.org chose the 91st blog. 11 comments were left in that post and random.org chose comment number 8 for the winner (it did choose another, but it was anonymous, so I had to choose one with a name, sorry). So the winner for leaving a comment on my Blog is Rebecca Withers.
Now, not to leave you wonderful ladies who comment on 4-shared out, I did the same thing for the 4-shared comments. Random.org chose post 84 and comment 7 which was betheproof.
CONGRATULATIONS ladies!!! What do you win?! Well, the reason I opened with the bandanna dresses in because the blog commenter winner, Rebecca Withers, wins the zebra print one!!!!! And do you remember those little booties I posted about awhile back? Yup, that is what betheproof wins, a pair of baby (0-6months) booties. To claim you prize, leave a comment (on the blog or in 4-shared) with you email. I will contact you and get you address to send you your prizes. Now if there are some of you out there who are sad because you did not win, don't be. I plan on holding random drawings like this each month. What is the catch? Because I will be using random.org to select the post and comment, we never know which comment will win. For these drawings, I will only be drawing from the comments left on my blog (sorry for those of you who comment on 4-shared, but I cannot do both). To increase your odds of winning, just leave comments as often as you can. The prizes will vary, it may be something I crafted or it may be my latest full kit, it just depends on what kind of mood I am in :) I hope this sounds fun for you all.
Now for the 100th post freebie. I thought I would go back to my roots and give you the freebie from my very 1st post. This is the kit that is now for sale in the store, but you can grab it for FREE right now. So everyone gets a treat. You get the full kit plus two felt alpha sheets. I know we have a long ways to Christmas, but Merry Christmas!!Link Expired

VOTE for your FAVORITE layout

Don't forget the National Scrapbook Day sale that is going on at the store right now. You get 20% off of an order of $10 or more. The sale ends tomorrow. The coupon code is NSBD.
We are ONE post away from the 100th post. I am so excited. I have a little something up my sleeve :)
Here are the top three entries for the layout contest. It was SO MUCH FUN to see your layouts using my designs. I have some very creative folks reading my blog and grabbing my stuff.

LAYOUT 1
Aren't the bunny ears with the ribbon loops so cute. And I may just have to scraplift the flower she made using the ribbon loops. So creative.
LAYOUT 2
I really like the simplicity of this layout, it really draws you to the incredibly cute picture. She even used papers from my newest mini kit April Showers
LAYOUT 3
This one should get the award for using the most mini kits in one layout. I think the CMW Soft Pink Alpha looks so cute on this page, and I like that she made a slide with one of the papers.
So, now you all need to do the work. I have put a poll in the right hand side bar. VOTE for you favorite layout. I will close the pole on Sunday night and then in the 100th post we will announce the winner and have some other fun things going on.
Here is the second part of CMW Soft Violet mini kit for your freebie today.

National Scrapbook Day

DigiScrapShop is having a sale for National Scrapbook Day. National Scrapbooking Day will be this Saturday, May 2nd. The sale goes from Friday to Sunday and you get 20% off your orders of $10 or more. The coupon code is NSBD. So head on over to my SHOP and check out my stuff.
Some new news: I just learned that one of my absolute favorite designers is retiring. Pamela over at Digitreats has decided to retire and close her store. She feels that all the time she spends blogging and designing is taking away from her family. I can totally see where she is coming from on that. I was very sad when I read her final post. She is an incredible designer and has been a inspiration to me. She will be missed.
