A Little Bling

So I made you some glittery elements to go with Color My World. There will be several more similar to these coming. The comments I received about my alpha question came back about 50/50. Alphas take quite a bit of time to do. I like to give you each letter in its own image instead of a sheet of alphas that you have to separate yourselves. This is what takes the most time to do. So, I have decided that I will move the attention I would spend on alphas onto other designing aspects. Don't worry, I still plan on giving you alphas to go with the Color My World mega kit, but I don't think I will be doing any more freebie alphas to go with mini kits. I hope this is agreeable to everyone.

Finally, Color My World

It seems like forever since I have posted any Color My World stuff. I have been so busy designing and handing out the mini kits. So we are back to some Color My World stuff. These are some basic papers with creases in them. Be sure to get both parts of the download.Link Expired

And just a question, are you all not big fans of Alpha sets? I noticed that the Spring Alpha got a lot less downloads and comments than the other freebies did. I' m just curious mainly because Alphas are a lot of work and if they are not that popular, maybe I will just spend that time designing other things instead. Please don't think I'm upset over the low response, I am just trying to figure out what is the best way for me to be spending my design time. I want to be offering things that you all will find useful and want to use.

So tired

I stayed up until 4:30 am this morning scrapbooking (a friend and I had a scrapbooking slumber party). Then I was crazy enough to get up at 7:30 and go for an 8 mile run. It was only 8 degrees when I left the house, but it was sunny and clear, so it warmed up fast. Since I got back and showered we have been running all over the state for things for DH's work and a impromptu visit from my family. So, I am exhausted, but I wanted to give you this alpha before I call it a night.Link Expired
I hope you all enjoy it. To Lori Ruth and Cynthia who have given me awards, thank you so much. I have not done anything with the awards yet because I have been so busy designing and actually scrapbooking my own pages that I sometimes have very little time to even post. But thank you for the nominating me, that is very kind.

The Spring Elements

Hello everyone! We are having wonderful spring-like weather here. I love it. Thank you for all the comments you have all left. I see that I definitely have some pink fans out there. No worries, I will always be doing kits with pink in them. Red is my favorite color and I love any shade or hue of red. Pink is one of my favorites.
Danyale-First off, I love how you spell your name, second I am so pleased that your 12y/o called my newest kits groovy. Children are the best critics because they are honest.
So, today you get the elements for my groovy spring kits. I hope you all like them.

Spring Fever

First off I want to tell you all THANK YOU!! Thank you for all the comments you left about Japanese Garden and for all the downloading you have been doing. Both make me very happy to see. I love to see that others like my stuff. Also, thank you to all of you who are actually going to the store and purchasing my full kits. Just know that your dollars are only sustaining my design habit. :) Don't forget that the President's Sale is still going on and you can get 10% off orders of $5 or more. Just click on the ad in the right hand column to go to the store and the coupon code is PRESIDENT.
As you can see by all the mini kits, I have been busy designing kits lately. These new ones actually use the same color palette and theme, but one is a little more sophisticated than the other. They are both very Springy kits. Yes, I do have spring fever. Yesterday I went for a run and it was so beautiful outside and just made me so excited for spring to actually come. Anyways, I combined the mini kit from both of these kits. The first is Mud Puddles in Spring. It is a fun kit that reminded me of frolicking (you have to use that word when talking about spring, right?) in spring and jumping in puddles. I think the kit is full of fun and I love how the chipboard alpha turned out.The second kit is Flowers in Spring and is the more sophisticated version of my spring fever kits. The metal buttons are awesome and of course I love how all the colors go so well with the brown. To get either one of these fun spring kits, just click on the image to be taken to the store to grab them.
Of course you get a mini kit freebie. I also made an alpha for you as a freebie so be sure to come back and grab that. Today you get the papers.Link Expired
To all of you that think there is too much pink in scrapbook kits, sorry for these :). I will also apologize for my next kit because it has pink as well. But I promise that after I get that one out I will do some anti-pink kits. If you all have any themes or colors you would like to see in a kit please leave a comment or you can email them to me using the email address in the right hand column. I love to get ideas from you all.

Shelli-I did see your comment about Birthday Bash and I have tried to email you a few times but have not heard back from you. I hope that means that your problem has been resolved, if not, please email me.

This kit has had some incredible response. To date is probably the most downloaded freebie I have offered. I'm curious if it is the color palette that appeals to so many or it it is simply the style. If you would be so kind to tell me in your comments why you like it I would appreciate it. Click on the image to get the elements for Japanese Garden.

Happy Love Day!!

I hope everyone is having a great Valentine's Day. I have, but am worn out now. I started the day by running a Sweetheart Race (4 miles). It was so cold (22 Degrees Fahrenheit), but I did have one of the best finishing times I have ever had since starting to run after having the little one. That does not mean I am super fast by any means, I don't think you can even call me fast, but I do run the entire way and get a little faster with each one. The hubby gave me money to buy a lens for my camera that I have been looking at for a little. That is exciting. Then we had a Valentine's Party at church where hubby and I were one the couples in the Newlywed Game. We had the lead the entire game until the last question. We ended up third and got a gift card for Coldstone Ice cream.
Thank you so much for all the sweet comments about the Birthday Bash kit. And thank you to whoever already purchased the full kit. I cannot see who purchases, just that one was purchased already. SO, whoever loved it enough to get the full thing, THANK YOU!
I have another new kit in the store today. This one is named Japanese Gardens and is a very organic kit. I do have to give a special shout out to my sister who designed the papers for this kit. I taught her how to make papers while we were together at Christmas and from what I hear that is all she does in her free time now :) She has sent me a few sets she has done and they are great, look for more of her work in the future (if she doesn't leave me to start her own digiscrap blog :) ). So click on the preview of the full kit to be taken to the store to get a hold of this kit.I think this would be a great kit to use for a more sophisticated St. Patrick's Day layout. And of course I have freebie mini kit for you. You get the papers today and will have to come back for the elements.

And last but not least, I posted this about two weeks ago, but the challenges were all posted today and they look like so much fun. I am so excited. If any of you are interested in something that will give you scrapbooking a jump start, this definitely will. The ladies at DSM are awesome.

Some Cardboard for Color My World

Here are some cardboard papers for Color My World. I am still trying to come up with a different way to distribute the Color My World mega kit. I don't think the way I am doing it currently is appealing to as many people as I would like it to. Would it be better if I packaged it as mini kits? (for example, a red mini kit with some papers and elements). I could focus on one color a month, maybe? Any suggestions would be appreciated.Link Expired

I'm still here

I know it has been several days since I have posted. I just wanted to let you know that I am still here and that I have not forgotten about you. I will try to get back on tonight and post (with a freebie of course).

Just Because We Love You

DigiScrapShop is having a sale to share the love with you. You can get 10% off your entire order (and no, you don't have to just buy my kits, though that would be nice) Go check out the incredible items available in the store. The coupon code is VALENTINE10. Just click on the above image to go see my kits and then from there you can visit the other designers.
And here is the Color My World freebie for today. I will be giving out some more papers soon, but I think I will be separating them into two separate posts since the paper packs are so large (15 papers each). I hope this does not cause any issues for anyone.

Giggle Ad On

Here is the last set of my Digitreat ad ons for this go round. This is the Giggle kit. Again, Pamela did an excellent job with the color scheme for these. Who doesn't love brown and pink? And the plum color is great. I have had a fabulous time designing these Ad Ons to go with Digitreats kits and look forward to the next time she allows us to do more.

I will get back to handing out Color My World tomorrow.

A Huge Compliment

So, designing scrapbook kits is not the only thing I dabble in. I got a Canon XSi for Christmas and have been taking photos of my little one like crazy. I have taken some online photography courses and really like trying to capture the perfect shot of my little one. I just took some pictures of her yesterday for some Valentines. After editing them in photoshop I uploaded them to a photo printing lab to get prints. Well, the lab just called me to make sure that I had actually taken those photos or purchased the rights to them from a professional photographer. I have to sign a copyright waiver for them when I go to pick them up. I know it is a little bit of a hassle but I think it is a huge compliment that someone thought these were professionally done. Here they are. Of course it always help to have an adorable subject to start with.

I did make the stamps that I used on the photos. And of course I will give them to you to go with the Chocolate Valentine's kit. These are my first attempts at stamps, but I love them and so I decided I would try to make my own. Enjoy.
You can get the full kit here

Links Expired

So, originally I had posted that once a post falls off the first page the link for the freebie will be disabled. I know that sometimes it is hard to get to the blog every day or even every other day to snatch the freebies. And when I do those mega posts with lots of previews and scrapbook pages it makes the freebie fall off the front page even faster. I have decided to come to a compromise. I will leave every freebie link active for 2 weeks. That should be adequate time for you to grab them and to tell all your lovely friends to grab them.

Another Digitreats Ad On

Thank you so much for all of your nice comments on the first Digitreat ad-on I posted. You all are very nice. Here is a ad on for the Shout kit. I love the colors she chose for this kit. I love bright and bold colors and this one definitely has those.

Digitreats Ad Ons

I don't know how many of you have visited Pamela's sight Digitreats. Last year she did an ABC kit that was incredible and this year she is doing year in review kits in different color combinations titled Giggle, Smirk and Shout. She had opened up the opportunity for other designers to make ad ons for her kit. Because I love her designs, I jumped at the chance to make an ad on for them. Hopefully they live up the the incredible design standard she has set with her amazing designs. Without further ado, here is the ad on for Smirk.
