Digital Scrapbook Memories

Color My World

What is this? Well, how many of you have had to search for the right color paper or element to match your layouts? We all have had to do that. What I want to do with the Color My World mega kit is give you tons of papers and elements in basically every color so that you can always have a match. I will be working off the color wheel to make these. We will work with the primary colors (red, yellow and blue) the secondary colors (orange, violet, green) and also the tertiary colors (red-violet, blue-violet, red-orange, yellow-orange, lime and turquoise) so that we will have a total of twelve colors we will be working with. These are bright and brilliant colors. I plan on giving out two paper sets, two element sets and an alpha each month. Remember, each month there will be twelve colors to work with, so there will be lots of freebies to grab. If you follow along and grab all the freebies you will come away with 200+ papers 200+ elements and more alphas than you know what to do with ;). I have also included black, brown and ecru in each kit so that you have all the basic colors you will need.

Now, this kit will go on for several months. I was originally planning on giving you only one color a month for 12 months, but that is no fun. I rarely do anything monochrome, so I thought it would just be better to give you paper and element sets with all the colors.
I will still be handing out mini kits when I design new kits for the store and I will most likely do some seasonal freebies, but the Color My World will be the main focus of my freebies. For those of you who love pastels I will do some of those colors for you around Easter.
This is your first set of papers. There are fifteen solid papers here. There are two download links, so be sure to get both. If you all have any special requests (paper styles, elements, etc) for this kit, let me know in the comments and I will do my best to accommodate them.

I love this kit. I had so much fun making it and I have loved using it to scrap some of my own pictures. I love the bright colors and of course the animals are so much fun.

Face Lift

I decided to change my blog style a little in honor of Valentine's Day. The Cutest Blog on the Blog has some awesome background and styles and they are so much fun to try out. Maybe someday I will get ambitious and make my own background, but right now I am very happy to use theirs. Plus if I got to playing around with making my own backgrounds that would take away my precious designing time and I know you all do not want that. I hope you all like the face lift to the blog. I am constantly wanting to change things. I have been studying my living room for the last several days trying to figure out how I can rearrange things (a little difficult because of the DH's surround sound system). Maybe it is a little spring fever.

Some more Chocolate

I have been really good about getting out and running this week, so I think that deserves a little bit of chocolate, don't you :) I thought I was done with the Chocolate Valentine kit, but I got to playing around with Atomic Cupcakes label maker and had so much fun I wanted to pass it along to you all. Sorry I didn't post this yesterday. No real excuses, I just wanted a break from the computer and it was absolutely gorgeous outside. Chocolate Valentine Elements

I am so excited. I have three new kits in the store. One is called Caleb's Cargo and is ALL boy. The other two are actually the same theme, but had to be split into two kits because it is massive. It is called Poppop's Farm. That is what the grandkids call my father and they love to visit because Poppop and Nana have animals. This kit is so full of color and I think is lots of fun.The kits are full of fun elements (animals, ribbons, buttons, frames, word art, trains, planes, trucks, alphas). I have been doing some layouts with them and will post some of them tomorrow. Some more chocolate

I just got back from running and I decided it was time for some chocolate :) I think the virtual kind is ok :) here are the heart patterned papers for Chocolate Valentine. I think you all like to colors so far.

Chocolate Valentine

Mmmmmm......chocolate! I decided to give my blog followers some chocolate for Valentine's day. Yes, I know Valentine's is still over a month away, but at least I am not Walmart and forcing Valentine's stuff on you before Christmas has even passed :) I decided to use the ever popular color scheme of brown and pink (my little sister's two favorite colors at the moment, so this kit is for her). I am pretty pleased with how the papers for this kit have turned out. I am giving you the solid papers today and will give you the pattern papers over the next week or so. And yes, there will be elements to go with it. I have already done some ribbons for it, but if any of you have a special request, let me know. Dirty Dot Elements

So, I know I have been terrible about getting another freebie out to you all this week. I was hoping that some of my other kits would be uploaded to the store this week so that I could post the mini-kit freebies, but that has not happened yet. Soooooo, I am working on a freebie kit for you right now. It is called Chocolate Valentine. It is made with the every popular colors of pink and brown. I will have some papers ready for you tomorrow and will give out pieces of the kit every few days. I made it to match the color theme of Polka Dot Christmas, but it is pretty versatile and would be fun with lots of different layouts. 2009 is HERE!!!

We just got home last night. Sorry to have left you all for so long without a post. Needless to say, I was enjoying my holidays at home with my family. I home you all had a very Merry Christmas and that the new year is treating you well so far.

I have some very exciting news that I have kind of shared already. I was accepted as a designer for the DigiScrapShop. I was so excited when I found out I could hardly contain myself and was so tempted to go in at wake up DH to tell him the news (it was 6 am). Now, I am sure many of you are familiar with DigiScrapDepot and the wonderful way that they catalogue all sort of amazing freebies for scrapbookers. DigiScrapShop is a new part of DigiScrapDepot. The store just opened yesterday and I am so very excited. I have two full kits (alpha and all) in the store as well as an alpha and an element set. You can click on the images to go to my page in the store. And of course, browse some of the other designers. Since I have started designing and trying to get kits out for you all, I have gained a deeper appreciation for designers and all the hard work they do. There are some incredible ladies out there who are definitely inspirations for me.

Now, I know you are all wondering the same thing my mother did when I told her I was selected as a designer for DigiScrapShop. She asked, "But are you still going to give freebies?" OF COURSE. I think what I will do is offer a mini kit for every kit I put in the store.
