The Last of the Templates

Ok, since I will be traveling tomorrow and I have no idea what Christmas day will be like, I am posting the last part of the calendar templates freebie now. I hope you all have been having a wonderful time using them and playing with them. This is just another example of what you can do with the templates. And if any of you have some you would like to share, please do. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.

I'm already back

So I am already back with part two of the calendar template freebie. This part has May through August in it. I also wanted to show you some of the fun things you can do with the templates.Download Link Expired
You can do this as the top of you calendar pages or just as a way to do a monthly scrap-page. This is super easy to do. Just open you template and make a copy of it to work with. Click on the eye next to the calendar grid to hide that layer (see #1) or you can just delete that layer all together. Then use you brush tool and color over the days of the week with black (see #2).The next step is the same way you added you fun papers from the tutorial with the downloads. Open the picture you want to use, drag it onto you template file. Resize if necessary and place it above you mask layer. Press ctrl+g and voila! You are awesome! Have fun with this. Click on the cute image above to get toady's downloads.

A Calendar for you

Sorry to have been slacking in posting a freebie since last Sunday. I actually got pretty sick this week and did not crawl out of the bed for a couple of days. But I am back now.
Ok, so no one responded to my post saying the did not want a calendar template (no one said they did either :) ) so I decided to go ahead and make you all one. This template allows you to use your favorite papers to dress up the calendar. Don't worry, for those of you no familiar with layer masks, I included a tutorial with the download. I am sorry to all of you non-photoshop/PSE users. These are psd files. That is what I have to work with, so I do apologize to those that do not have it (if you are really desperate to use these template, download the 30 day free trial version of PSE 7 at adobe, but I do warn you that it is addicting). Anyways, hopefully the tutorial makes sense and you all have a great deal of fun making your calendars (I'm sure you all are way more on the ball than I am and have them all done by now :) ). Please send me a picture of any of your final products. It just might make it into a post. piccolinadesigns@yahoo.comDownload Link Expired
The first picture is just of what the templates look like without any additions of your own.
It is also the link link for the first set of downloads. I have divided it
into 3 downloads and will give the other two out to you before Christmas, I promise.
These other pictures are just some simple examples of what you can do with the templates. Let your imaginations run wild and have fun.

Rar files

Hope left the comment that she could not open the rar files.
You can do a google search for 7 zip free download to get a free program to unzip rar and zip files. The program I use automatically condenses them in rar format, but I think I have figured out how to to it as a zip now, it is just a matter of remembering to do it each time I compress the files.
I'm sorry for the inconvience, but I do know that a lot of people offer their freebies in rar as well so it might be beneficial that you have a program that unzips both, that way you can get your hands on all the freebies out there ;)

Restored Links for Brown Bag Christmas

So I have had a ton of people stopping by from DigiFree and they cannot download the Brown Bag Christmas. Those of you that have been following me know that the links for my items expire once they fall off the first page. However, since we have a whole bunch of newbies, I have restored the links for Brown Bag Christmas so that they can get it. I will leave the links active until Christmas. Then we will go back to the old rules of when it falls off the first page of the blog, you can no longer download it.
I also am thinking of posting a 2009 calenday template. Am I way too late in offering this as a freebie or will some of you still find it useful? Also, do you want it in 12x12 or 11x8.5?

The Alpha You have all been waiting for!

Ok, so I don't know if you really have all be waiting for this alpha or not, but I think it turned out really well and will make a great addition to any page, Christmas or Winter or just about anything. It was a lot of fun to make, but I defiantly can't take credit for all of it. If any of you are interested in designing your own stuff, you defiantly need to head over to Atomic Cupcake. She makes some of the most amazing actions for Photoshop (full version and PSE) that make life a great deal easier for us in the digital scrapbooking world.
The festivities went well and now I can kick back and relax. Yeah right, I have been chosen for a designer for a store (more info to come) and I have been crazy busy making some kits and stuff so that they actually have something to put in the store. Don't worry, I will still post freebies because I love freebies myself.
Anyway, here is the alpha for Seaside Holiday. I hope you all love it as much as I do.

Hurry and get Brown Bag Christmas

All of Brown Bag Christmas is about to fall off the first page of my blog and then it will not longer be available for free download, so be sure to let your friends and your friends' friends know. :)
I have been working on a couple of kits like crazy and will probably give you a few previews next week. I am so addicted to this stuff.
The cookie exchange went wonderfully well. I strongly suggest that you all try it. Everyone just brought 5 dozen of their favorite holiday treats and took home 5 dozen of whatever they wanted. We had probably 20 different kinds of goodies and had a great time putting together little gift plates for neighbors, co-workers and ourselves, of course. And of course we had to sample, so making a few extras is a good idea.
So here is the final paper set for Seaside Holiday. I know you are all anxious to get the alpha, but it will be a few days on that since I have a little party at the house tomorrow to prepare for.

Where is everyone???

My papers have not had as many downloads this time around. Are you all incredibly busy for the holidays like I am? I just finished baking 7 dozen cookies for a cookie exchange and that is on top of about 15 dozen goodies (chocolate dipped pretzels, chex mix, etc) that I made earlier this week. I am ready to turn in, but thought I would pass along the second element freebie before I did. Hope you enjoy it and hope I didn't make you to hungry talking about the holiday goodies, 4shared wouldn't let me upload them so I could share them with you :)Download Link Expired

When a Kit falls off the First Page

Ok, I have seen other designers do this and I think that I will as well. When a kit falls off the front page of my blog, it will no longer be available for download. I am considering having it available for purchase, but am still working on that. By doing this, I will be able to free up space in 4shared to add new freebie kits and so on. If any one has issue with this, they are more that welcome to let me know. I won't start doing this until all of Brown Bag Christmas has fallen off the front page, so make sure you tell all your friends to hurry up and get it.

Some elements for Seaside holiday

It has been a good weekend for me. I have decided to give you some of the elements for seaside holiday before I give you the rest of the papers. So here they are.Download Link Expired
I will be giving out the rest of the elements and papers over the next week. I will also be designing more kits. I have a few more ideas, but would love to hear from you all for any ideas.
As always, click on the image to download. PS. the crocheted star is actually the star that tops my Christmas tree. Pretty cool, huh.

It's here!

I have literally stayed up until the wee hours of the morning working on this. This designing stuff is very addictive, but I should have been prepared for that because we all know how habit forming scrapbooking is. I am so excited with how Seaside Holiday turned out. I had so much fun creating it and am already trying to come up with some more themes so I can creat some more (told you, I am addicted). If you all have any ideas, please pass them along. So here is the preview of the entire kit.Download Link Expired
I even made an alpha to go with it. There are 12 papers and lots of ribbons and ornaments. I hope you all like it. Here is the first set of papers.
Click on the image to download. I will be uploading the remainder of the kit over the next week or so.

Preview Page

I made you all a quick preview page for the Brown Bag Christmas kit so that you can have an easy reference pic for the kit. Just right click on the image and save it to you folder where you keep Piccolina Designs. This is the color swatch for my next kit. I am excited for it and hope it turns out how I am imagining. I also posted a picture of my Christmas tree so that you can see where my inspiration came from.

The Last of Brown Bag Christmas (Read for Password)

I realize it is a pain to have to read the blog :) but you have to today so that you can get the password to be able to download the last element for Brown Bag Christmas. You are even welcome to leave me comments on how much you hate having to find a password. It really is simple, just read the blog, taking a few minutes out of your day so that you can download for free something that I took quite a few minutes out of my day to create for you. :) Anyways, 4shared will prompt you when to type in the password and then you are set to go.
Now I need to get to designing the next kit. I already have the theme and name picked out, Seaside Holiday. As I said in a previous post, it is inspired by my Christmas tree. Hopefully I will have some of it ready to go by the end of this week. The password is brownbag.
Question: Would it be helpful if I made a preview page for you that showed all the papers and elements together instead of all seperate like they are for the downloads? Let me know.

As always, click to download (after you have found the password in my post today)

Happy December

Can you believe we are in December already? I am so excited. I love this time of year. We got back from our Thanksgiving travels on Saturday and I have been working since then to put up the Christmas tree. I have been so excited to put it up because we bought it last year at the after Christmas sales. It is even more beautiful than I remember and my DH was even kind enough to turn on Christmas music while I hung the ornaments. I think my next kit will be inspired from the colors on my Christmas tree.
Anyways, enough chatter. Here is some more fun stuff for Brown Bag Christmas. As always, click on the image to download and enjoy.
